Caesars Palace, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last summer, is no stranger to the entertainment industry. Rain Man, Iron Man and The Hangover have all filmed at the hotel. It’s also served as a location for TV series like Friends and, of course, hosted plenty of live entertainment. Now Caesars Entertainment is taking its next step, moving into production.

In June, it will open Caesars Entertainment Studios, a 48,000-square-foot production facility located on five acres of land behind its Ballys property and adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip. With the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show taking place this week in Las Vegas, Caesars is hosting a sneak peek for potential clients.

The soundstage is aimed at feature films, television shows (game shows, sitcoms) and television events (concerts, sports). The company pointed out that talent could stay at nearby Caesars Entertainment properties such as Ballys, Planet Hollywood, Nobu Hotel, and of course, Caesars Palace.

"We're hoping to build an industry here," Jason Gastwirth, senior vp marketing and entertainment for Caesars Entertainment, said. "Caesars has a history in the entertainment industry — from live events to film and TV. The next step for us is to have an active film studio for projects, not just those set in Las Vegas."
