Cheryl Boone Isaacs, Bob Newhart To Be Honored by Cinematographers Guild Publicists

Isaacs will receive the president's award and Newhart the lifetime achievement award at the annual luncheon.

The Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild will honor Motion Picture Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs and comedian Bob Newhart at the 52nd Annual Publicists Luncheon, Feb. 20 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Isaacs will receive the president's award, which will be presented by Selma director Ava DuVernay. Currently in her second term as Academy President, Isaacs is the first African-American to hold this role and the third woman and the third member of the public relations branch to serve in that position.

The recipient of the Publicists' lifetime achievement award, Newhart is known for his classic series The Bob Newhart Show and appearances on series including The Dean Martin Show, The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. His Newhart TV series, in which he played a Vermont innkeeper, ran from 1982 to 1990. He recently made memorable guest appearances on The Big Bang Theory.
