Deluxe Entertainment Services Group — which includes postproduction brands Company 3 and Efilm and VFX house Method — has hired Jaclyn Ranere as its vp global marketing and communications.

She comes from The Orchard, an independent music, video and film distribution company, where she was vp marketing and corporate communications. Sony Music has been the majority investor in The Orchard since 2012, and earlier this year acquired the remaining interest in the company.

Before joining The Orchard, Ranere ran her own digital marketing umbrella, Moonshoot Productions.

In her new role, Ranere is charged with leading the global marketing and communication strategy at Deluxe. She’ll report to CEO David Kassler and Maggie Williams, executive vp and global head of human resources.

Kassler said in a statement: "Jaclyn was at the forefront of the digital evolution of the music industry, bringing a passion to helping build and shape a company’s culture while propelling its growth. These skills are increasingly important as the entertainment industry adapts to a new content ecosystem, from capture to consumption."
