Big Hero 6 won the Academy Award for best animated feature, the second in a row for Walt Disney Animation Studios, which won a year ago for Frozen.

It was the first Oscar for directors Don Hall and Chris Williams, and producer Roy Conli.

The studio actually had a double win, with its Feast claiming the Oscar for best animated short. Feast marked the first Academy Award for director Patrick Osbourne and producer Kristina Reed.

In winning the feature animation category, Big Hero 6 topped a field that included How To Train Your Dragon 2, The Boxtrolls, Song of the Sea and The Tale of The Princess Kaguya.
