Veteran 'Star Wars' Colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld Upped to CCO at Deluxe

Stefan Sonnenfeld — the go-to colorist for some leading directors including J.J. Abrams and Michael Bay, and whose credits include Star Wars: The Force Awakenshas been promoted to chief creative officer at Deluxe Entertainment Services Group.

Sonnenfeld was already the lead creative executive for Deluxe's creative services division, which includes Deluxe-owned  brands such as  Company 3, Efilm, Encore and Method. His promotion gives him oversight of additional brands such as Deluxe Home Entertainment, Deluxe Toronto, Iloura and 3D conversion firm StereoD.

The veteran colorist founded Company 3, which Deluxe acquired in 2010 as part of its Ascent Media purchase.

“We are grateful for his creative vision over the last two decades and look forward to building upon the foundation he created as we move into the next phase of Deluxe’s growth,” CEO John Wallace said in a statement.
