Just when you thought it was safe to go shopping without being mobbed by screaming teenagers, Lionsgate announced Tuesday that members of the cast and crew of The Hunger Games are embarking on a national mall tour. Starting on March 3, several of the actors, including Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will make appearances during an eight-city tour, sponsored by the Microsoft Store, China Glaze, and h2O Spring Water.

As the countdown continues towards the March 23 premiere of The Hunger Games, Lionsgate has released a new banner for the IMAX release.

The poster is not very different from the previously released poster showing Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) taking aim with her bow and arrow, but fans will take whatever they can get. “The World Will Be Watching” logo stretches across the top of the new banner.

Fans awaiting the release of The Hunger Games, Lionsgate’s adaptation of the extremely popular book by Suzanne Collins, now know what the world of Panem will sound like.

Taylor Swift premiered her music video for "Safe & Sound," the haunting track she made along with the Nashville-based band the Civil Wars (which is made up of Joy Williams and John Paul White) for the Hunger Games soundtrack Monday.

The video's mood matches the song's haunting and almost eerie sound, featuring a solo Swift wandering through a dark, and almost dangerous looking wood. It's spliced with clips of the Civil Wars, who are together in a cabin, sitting near a fire.

Continuing with their number-heavy marketing campaign, Lionsgate announced the on-sale date for advance tickets to its hotly-anticipated The Hunger Games Monday, 74 days before the film's March 23 release.

It may not have been a life-or-death challenge, but The Hunger Games fans were given a daunting task to complete: assemble 100 different images, from 100 different websites to piece together the puzzle of the forthcoming film's latest poster art.
