Nathan Fillion, Elisabeth Moss Voice Animated 'Green Lantern'
Castle star Nathan Fillion gets to be the Green Lantern after all.
Fillion, along with Elisabeth Moss, Henry Rollins, Jason Isaacs and Arnold Vosloo, have been cast as the voice actors in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, the latest offering from the DC, Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Animation lineup of animated movies.
Fillion, already a favorite among geeks for starring in Joss Whedon’s Firefly/Serenity projects, was the subject of a widely-seen fan-made trailer that hit the net in 2009, before Ryan Reynolds was cast in the big-budget tentpole. After seeing the spot, many fans hoped Fillion would get the part.
With Emerald Knights, in which Fillion will voice Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, the actor returns to the DC animated fold; he previously lent his voice as Steve Trevor in the animated Wonder Woman movie and worked on the Justice League cartoon.
Mad Men's Moss will voice Arisia, a young recruit in the space police force known as the Green Lantern Corps.
Rollins voices member Kilowog, Isaacs plays Sinestro and Vosloo plays Abin Sur. Other actors on board include Rowdy Roddy Piper, Kelly Hu and Wade Williams.
Bruce Timm is executive producing Emerald Knights, which is being directed by Lauren Montgomery, Jay Oliva and Christopher Berkeley.
The animated feature will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and via download June 7, just before the June 17 release of the Warners live-action Green Lantern movie.Normal 0 0 1 209 1194 9 2 1466 11.1287 Normal 0 0 1 209 1194 9 2 1466 11.1287 0 0 0 0 0 0
