TRAILER: Eric Bana and Saoirse Ronan in 'Hanna'
The Focus Features action thriller opens April 8.
Whoa. OK, so theaters in April will be showing Hanna, an action thriller about a 14-year-old girl bred and trained to be a killing machine as she unleashes mayhem to the electro-pummel of the Chemical Brothers. And it's brought to you by...
Focus Features and Joe Wright.
Huh? The company behind Somewhere and The Kids Are All Right? The director of Atonement and Pride and Prejudice? They appear to be taking a left turn down the ass-kicking path.
Wright recruited his Atonement star Saoirse Ronan, who was nominated for an Oscar at 13, to play the titular anti-heroine, as well as Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana. And this time, Wright co-wrote the screenplay and cranked up the bone-breaking. (His future docket includes The Little Mermaid and Anna Karenina.) The film hits theaters April 8.
