'American Idol' to Allow Online Voting for First Time Ever

Beginning March 1, viewers can log on to AmericanIdol.com -- via their Facebook accounts.
American Idol is allowing online voting for the first time ever, Fox announced Thursday.
Viewers can log on to AmericanIdol.com to cast their ballots beginning March 1. They have to login via Facebook accounts, which is a competitor to Fox-owned MySpace.
Fans will continue to be able to vote via text message and toll-free phone lines.
