ABC Family developing mistaken-identity drama
6:26 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
Exclu: ABC Family is developing a drama series about a very different kind of secret life of an American teenager.
In "What Would Jane Do," a case of mistaken identity has a dateless high school outsider living a double life as a twentysomething career girl in the corporate world.
The network has picked up the project for development from executive producer Gavin Polone and writer April Blair.
Blair has been active on the feature side, co-writing the film "Monte Carlo," starring Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester, which wrapped production last week for Fox 2000. On the TV side, she adapted the young adult novel "Lemonade Mouth" for Disney Channel.
Blair is repped by Repped by UTA and Benderspink.
