CBS picks up 'NCIS: LA,' 'Good Wife'

Following a third week of strong performances, CBS has given full-season pickups to Tuesday night freshman dramas "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "The Good Wife."

"NCIS: Los Angeles" is the most-watched new show of the fall season, averaging 17.5 million viewers and a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating.

While "Good Wife" ranks as the second most-watched freshman series, pulling 13.7 million viewers and a 3.0 rating.

For those keeping score, that's three new shows picked up this fall (CBS' duo and Fox's "Glee"), four if you count The CW's "Vampire Diaries" (which you should, the show received an order for nine additional scripts, which is the next-best thing, and is doing well), and there's been one show canceled (The CW's "Beautiful Life").

Both shows are produced by CBS Studios.
