SAN DIEGO -- Sons of Anarchy was once again the closing panel in the massive Hall H. This year, the FX drama brought new videos from season six and plenty of answers to questions about the upcoming season and the possibility of season seven being the end of the road.
Producers from CBS' summer hit Under the Dome joined stars Dean Norris, Rachelle Lefevre and Mike Vogel to celebrate the show's first Comic-Con on Sunday with a screening of Monday's episode and vowed answers to the show's many mysteries are coming.
Here are eight things to know about the remainder of season one from the panel:
SAN DIEGO -- If you were hoping Comic-Con might offer a look at Doctor Who's upcoming 50th anniversary special, you are going to have to wait a little longer. Showrunner Steven Moffat was adamant that the sneak peak would not be leaving Hall H -- and if it does, he's not going to be very pleased.
CBS' The Big Bang Theory has a way of really entertaining fans at Comic-Con.
During previous years, the show's panels have featured performances from the Barenaked Ladies performing Big Bang's theme song, producer Warner Bros. Television giving away a trip to space and this year, star Johnny Galecki making a surprise appearance -- in full Star Wars: Return of the Jedi costume.
The CW's Arrow is nudging itself ever closer to its comic book origins by introducing a member of the Suicide Squad — villains pressed into service by a shadowy arm of the government into carrying out missions they probably won't survive — and one of the DC Universe's most popular heroines, Black Canary, Oliver Queen's great love.
SAN DIEGO -- Amy Acker is sticking around on Person of Interest.
The actress, who has been a recurring player since the first season, has been upped to series regular on the CBS drama. News of the promotion came during the series' packed Comic-Con panel on Saturday afternoon.
Dan Harmon made his first of two Comic-Con appearances Saturday to preview his upcoming Adult Swim animated series Rick and Morty.
The 10-episode half-hour entry, co-created by Harmon and Justin Roiland (Adventure Time), follows a brilliant inventor (Rick), his dim grandson (Morty) and the adventures they share. The series will premiere on Cartoon Network's late-night block in December.
SAN DIEGO — The Vampire Diaries stars had much to talk about Saturday afternoon for the show's fifth trip to Comic-Con.
When season four left off, Stefan discovered that one of Mystic Falls' most dangerous villains, Silas, was his doppelganger, and Katherine involuntarily became human. Plus, Elena finally made her choice between the Salvatore brothers, picking Damon. Will their budding romance end on a happy note?
"There's no drama in happiness," said executive producer Julie Plec, but she gave credit to TV shows that have successfully depicted a happy couple."One of the things [we will try] to do is to try to keep them happy for a while in the midst of the bad things around them that are trying to tear them apart."
SAN DIEGO — The True Blood panel in Ballroom 20 kicked off with some footage showing off the second half of season six.
The footage showed that there's a lot more death and destruction in store for our favorite Bon Temps residents, with many of the vampires locked in that terrifying experimental prison. It looks like Jason (Ryan Kwanten) will also end up in the prison and that Sookie (Anna Paquin) will be struggling with her feelings for Ben/Warlow (Rob Kazinsky).
Hulu crashed San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, unveiling the first episode of its original animated series The Awesomes, and joined a sizable roster of broadcast and cable networks unspooling their new and returning series.
The Awesomes, created by Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, revolves around the greatest superhero team in history and what happens after its most powerful members retire.
SAN DIEGO — Though The Originals aired its backdoor pilot as an episode of The Vampire Diaries, executive producer Julie Plec was mindful of the fact that it would be months before viewers would be re-integrated into the world.
SAN DIEGO -- How I Met Your Mother packed its first ever Comic-Con panel on Saturday afternoon, and as a reward to the fans -- many of whom slept outside the Hilton Bayfront Hotel -- co-creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas made a special video.
SAN DIEGO -- How I Met Your Mother might not seem like a natural choice for Comic-Con, but you would not question CBS and 20th Century Fox TV's decision to take the exiting comedy down to San Diego if you saw the frenzied standing ovation the cast and EPs received when they stepped onstage at the Indigo Ballroom.
