Daytime Emmys move to Las Vegas, air on CBS
6:16 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
The Daytime Emmys are moving back to CBS and will air from Las Vegas for the first time.
The desert is an appropriate setting for handing out awards for a programming wasteland like daytime has become.
Most award shows have improved in recent years, but the Daytime Emmys
have struggled. After a couple decades on major broadcast networks, the ceremony was downshifted to the CW last year.
CBS telecast will air live in primetime on Sunday, June 27.
