Fox renews 'MasterChef'
6:28 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
No surprise here: Fox has ordered a second season of "MasterChef."
The top-rated new series of the summer, featuring chef Gordon Ramsay, will return for another round.
Though "MasterChef" took a ratings hit after losing its "Hell's Kitchen" lead-in, the show has continued to perform solidly for the network on Wednesday nights this summer.
The first season finale wraps the show Sept. 15. No return date was given for "MasterChef," though it wouldn't be surprising if Fox tried out the show in midseason instead of waiting until next summer.
