AFI Names 'Walking Dead' One of Year's Best TV Shows

AMC's zombie series The Walking Dead has been named one of the year's best TV programs by the American Film Institute, which released its annual lists of the top 10 movies and top 10 TV programs Sunday.
The freshman series, which has set ratings records, was recently picked up for a second season.
Also on AFI's TV list are The Big C, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Glee, Mad Men, Modern Family, The Pacific, Temple Grandin and 30 Rock.

The AFI will honor the creative ensembles for each of the films and TV shows at a luncheon sponsored by Hewlett-Packard on Jan. 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.
