'HIMYM' hits season high; 'Find My Family' Debuts

Find my familyUPDATE: Talking points held up in nationals, few shows moved a tenth -- "Trauma"  up to a1.7... "Accidentally" slipped to 3.1... "House" up to 4.6 ... and "Dancing" to 4.0...

PREVIOUS: ABC's lost relative reality series "Find My Family" opened to a decent rating considering its modest auspices Monday night.

The show, an eleventh-hour replacement for the previously scheduled "Let's Dance," drew 12.9 million viewers and a 2.9 rating coming out of the "Dancing With the Stars" fall finale (20.5 million, 4.1). "Family" dropped 29% from "Dancing," yet for an unscripted holiday week replacement, this is a suitable bridge number into a season-high "Castle" (10.5 million, 2.7). The "Dancing" finale was down 13% from its performance last fall. 

CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" (8.8 million, 3.7) fans gave thanks for the return of "Slapsgiving," with the show rising 9% to hit a season high. "HIMYM" boosted "Accidentally on Purpose" (7.9 million, 3.2) was up 14%. "Two and a Half Men" (13.9 million, 4.7) was flat. "Big Bang Theory" (14.2 million, 5.2), featuring a guest appearance by "Battlestar" vet Katee Sackhoff, was up 4% to draw its largest audience ever. "CSI: Miami" was steady (13.2 million, 3.7).

Fox aired "House" (11.9 million, 4.5) which fell slightly followed by "Lie to Me" (7.3 million, 2.7).

NBC aired "Heroes" (5.2 million, 2.3), up 5%, and "Trauma" (5.3 million, 1.6), which hit a series low. "Jay Leno Show" held firm (4.5 million, 1.4). The CW had repeats.
