Josh Gad sells family comedy to CBS

Exclu: "Back to You" and "Woke Up Dead" actor Josh Gad is near a deal for a comedy project at CBS.
The actor-comedian landed a script deal for "Adopted Family," a multi-camera comedy at the network. The premise: When a teenage girl shows up on his doorstep, a man discovers his new wife has a daughter he didn't know existed.
CBS Television Studios is producing the project, which comes on the heels of a slew of new comedy and drama projects being picked up by the network.
Gad, repped by ICM and Zero Gravity Management, is a correspondent on "The Daily Show" and appears in the upcoming film "Love and Other Drugs."
