Lainie Kazan to be on 'Desperate Housewives'

Lainie Kazan is joining ABC’s primetime soap "Desperate Housewives."

Kazan ("My Big Fat Greek Wedding") will be introduced to viewers in the show’s season premiere and remain in the cast for a multiepisode arc as a guest star.

She will play a self-employed business owner and neighbor to Teri Hatcher’s character, Susan.

As previously announced, the seventh season of "Housewives" also added Brian Austin Green.

Kazan recently appeared in multiple episodes of "Ugly Betty" and " ’Til Death." She also co-stars in the independent film "Expecting Mary," set for release in the fall.

She is repped by TalentWorks and manager Ben Levine of Kritzer Levine Wilkins Griffin Entertainment.
