'LOLA' rebounds to win hour
UPDATED: NBC's Law & Order: Los Angeles jumped in the ratings and beat the legal drama crowd at 10 p.m.
LOLA (8.1 million, 2.4) abruptly reversed its trajectory and rose 26% Wednesday night, overthrowing Defenders (10 million, 2.3), which was down 8%. Trailing both was the return of ABC's The Whole Truth (4.4 million, 1.3), which was flat with its last original.
Overall CBS won the night despite Survivor (12.3 million, 3.6) slipping slightly. Crimianl Minds (14.4 million, 3.6) was up 6%.
Fox placed second with Major League Baseball playoffs replacing Hell's Kitchen this week. The NLCS Phillies vs. Giants game had roughly 9.3 million viewers and a 2.9 rating.
In third, ABC's comedy block was stable: The Middle (8.5 million, 2.6) up a tenth, Better With You (6.8 million, 2.1) unchanged, Modern Family (12 million, 4.7) and Cougar Town (7.4 million, 3.1) down a tenth.
Fourth-place NBC also aired an all-too-steady Undercovers (5.9 million, 1.5), followed by Law & Order: SVU (8.5 million, 2.7). The CW had America's Next Top Model (3 million, 1.3) and a repeat.
