NBC orders 'School Pride' reality series
6:17 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
Exclu: NBC has picked up an unscripted series from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Cheryl Hines that gives makeovers to schools.
The
project is from Horizon Alternative Television and titled
"School Pride," where a group helps a community band together to restore aging educational facilities.
The project was inspired by a real-life effort where local activists
fixed up school buildings in Compton, CA.
Denise Cramsey (ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition") and Hines will executive produce.
NBC will announce the project at its upfront presentation to advertisers
on Monday.
