Ratings: 'WWII in HD,' 'Jon & Kate'
6:07 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
The premiere of History's "WWII in HD" delivered 2.6 million viewers for the network Sunday evening.
The documentary series made History the top cable network from 9-11 p.m. among the male demos, delivering triple-digit percentage gains from what the network usually posts in the time period. Night 2 held up well, dipping only slightly to 2.5 million.
So, though the ratings weren't as high as some (OK, me) might have expected, these are still strong numbers for History.
Over on TLC, the second-to-last episode of "Jon & Kate" rose above the show's recent average on Monday night, up to 2.3 million viewers. Also on Sunday: Showtime's "Dexter" drew 1.7 million.
