'Royal Pains' hits ratings high
6:00 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
The third episode of USA's freshman drama "Royal Pains" jumped 17% from last week, setting a new high water mark.
"Pains" (6.5 million viewers, 2.1) has grown with each episode and climbed 11% in the adult demo from its "Burn Notice" lead-in (5.8 million, 1.9). "Notice" was up too -- growing 19% from last week.
The shows were the highest rated programs on cable and ranked only behind Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" among broadcast shows. "Pains" more than doubled the rating of NBC's drama "The Listener" in the 10 p.m. hour.
