'True Blood' Sesame Street parody (video)
6:30 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
With the 41st season of "Sesame Street" set to premiere Sept. 27th, there's a surprising source of inspiration for a segment that will be seen later this season: HBO's "True Blood." Here's an exclusive sneak peek at a puppet-filled parody that draws straight from the diner scene that opened the show in the series premiere.
There's plenty of other pop-culture references that will be popping up on "Street" this season, including appearances from Kyra Sedgwick and Kara DioGuardi, and even an Oprah Winfrey voiceover for a parody of her OWN Network. Have a look at what's in store this season on "Street's" YouTube page.
