Tuesday finales: 'Idol,' 'Loser,' 'Dancing'

A trio of reality finales sank from last year's benchmarks while putting pressure on scripted closers Tuesday evening. The night was led by Simon Cowell's final Tuesday performance show on Fox's "American Idol" (19.6 million, 6.6), which dropped 23% from its same-day finale last year. The Final Two sing-off was followed by a
steady "Glee" (11.5 million, 4.8).

NBC's "Biggest Loser" (9.9 million, 3.8) dipped 19% from last year's
finale. The "Parenthood" closer (6 million, 2.6) was stable this week despite the heavy
"Dancing" competition."

ABC's two-hour "Dancing With the Stars" results show finale (18.2
million, 3.8) was down 27% from last spring's edition, with a clip-show lead-in (9.3
million, 1.6).

CBS' finale-filled lineup took hits across the board: "NCIS" (15.9 million, 3.2) was down 9% from last year's closer, freshman drama "NCIS: LA" (13.1 million, 2.7) dipped to a season low. At 10 p.m., the first season finale of "The Good Wife" (10.6 million, 2.0) also fell to a new low.
