VIDEO: Fox Releases First Promo for Simon Cowell's 'The X Factor'

The singing competition is set to debut stateside in fall 2011.

Fox has released the first promo spot for the American version of Simon Cowell's British singing competition,"The X Factor."

Cowell may not not be featured in the promo but a very large and forbidding letter X is planted in front of the Manhattan skyline.

The show is set to premiere stateside in fall 2011.
