Winter Games crush Thursday rivals

Elysacek NBC's Winter Games coverage continued to perform strong in the ratings Thursday night, easily dominating the field and putting pressure on rival networks.

The Peacock's Vancouver coverage dipped 16% from Wednesday's high, with 24.8 million viewers tuning in. That's still 28% higher than the first Thursday night during the Torino Games in 2006. 

CBS' "Survivor" (11.9 million viewers, 3.9 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) was down 13% from last week's two-hour premiere.

CBS tied with ABC for the second place, latter airing "The Deep End" (4.3 million, 1.1), which continued to founder, down 27% from last week. Originals of "Grey's Anatomy" (10.2 million, 3.7) and "Private Practice" (7.6 million, 2.8) that were significantly weaker than usual, down 16% and 10%, respectively.

On Fox, "Past Life" (3.5 million, 1.1) dropped 21% and is ranking well below the line for this time period. Repeats filled all the other broadcast time slots.
