Zach Braff: 'Scrubs' is dead
6:14 AM PST 11/30/2010 by James Hibberd
According to "Scrubs" star Zach Braff, the long-long running comedy is finished.
After nine seasons and two networks, Braff says the ABC comedy won't return next year.
Posting on Facebook, Braff wrote:
"Many of you have asked, so here it is: it
appears that 'New Scrubs,' 'Scrubs 2.0,' 'Scrubs with new kids,' 'Scrubbier,' 'Scrubs without JD' is no more. It was worth a try, but
alas... it didn't work. zb"
Now before writing the show off, an ABC rep says the network hasn't made its official decision yet. Given the show's weak ratings during this rebooted season, a return does seem pretty unlikely, though, especially given ABC's recent comedy success with its Wednesday block led by "Modern Family."
