Magnolia Pictures Acquires North American Rights to 'Point Blank' (Berlin)

The French action thriller stars Gilles Lellouche as a man racing through Paris to save his pregnant, kidnapped wife.

Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to Fred Cavaye's French thriller Point Blank from Gaumont.

The action thriller stars Gilles Lellouche as a man racing through Paris to save his pregnant, kidnapped wife. Roschdy Zem, Gerard Lanvin and Elena Anaya co-star.

Cyril Colbeau-Justin and Jean-Baptiste Dupont produced the film.

"Cavayé and Lellouche have crafted a heart pumping, edge-of-your-seat action thriller." said Magnolia's Tom Quinn. "Comparisons to Die Hard and Taken are well deserved."

Quinn and fellow Magnolia exec Dori Begley negotiated the deal with Cecile Gaget of Gaumont.

Magnolia has recently acquired the documentary Page One: A Year Inside The New York Times, the dark drama I Melt With You and Max Winkler’s comedy Ceremony.
