TRAILER: Jodie Foster's 'The Beaver'

The delayed Summit Entertainment drama starring Mel Gibson is heading toward a spring release.

Summit Entertainment finally looks ready to take the plunge.

The company is now looking toward a spring release for its delayed drama The Beaver, and it has just rolled out a trailer for the PG-13 drama. Mel Gibson, who's been in the public eye recently under unflattering conditions, stars for director and co-star Jodie Foster.

Kyle Killen wrote the much-praised screenplay.

Here's the official synopsis for the PG-13 film:

"Two-time Academy Award® winner Jodie Foster directs and co-stars with two-time Academy Award® winner Mel Gibson in THE BEAVER – an emotional story about a man on a journey to re-discover his family and re-start his life. Plagued by his own demons, Walter Black was once a successful toy executive and family man who now suffers from depression.  No matter what he tries, Walter can’t seem to get himself back on track…until a beaver hand puppet enters his life."
