The prolific spy novelist's latest, a World War II thriller about a charming Frenchman building a Resistance cell in Nazi-occupied Paris, offers a mix of tense, action-filled scenes and quieter suspense (plus a little bit of sex). Furst's The Spies of Warsaw was adapted as a BBC miniseries starring David Tennant in 2013.
