The Hollywood Reporter partnered with Principal and asked readers to share their “Defining Moment," a time in their life that took an unexpected turn but led to a positive outcome – all for the chance to have their story turned into a short film and premiered on THR.com
Many shared. A few stood out. One captivated.
Congratulations to our Defining Moment winner, Hernán de Béky.
Hernán de Béky’s accomplished full-time career as a commercial voice actor started quite by accident in Los Angeles. While working as a junior copywriter at a local L.A. TV station, he was asked to record a public service announcement pro bono.
Ever since then, Hernán de Béky has continued recording, becoming one of the premier Spanish commercial voice artists in the USA. Today, his voice is heard daily on commercials, promos and movie trailers nationwide with over 400 film titles to his credit.
Hernán has received a variety of notable distinctions, including a Clio Award, a General Motors Award of Excellence and three Emmy Awards.
Hernán is the Chair of the National Spanish Language Media Committee at SAG-AFTRA. 2016 marks his 28th anniversary as a proud member.
He is represented worldwide by Ilko Drozdosky of AVO Talent Agency in L.A. and Jason Marks Talent Management Inc. in N.Y.
