Britney Spears, Will.i.am Debut New Music Video 'Scream and Shout' on 'X Factor'
Though it was officially released earlier this month, the collaboration shot to No. 1 on iTunes after being featured on Fox's Wednesday night broadcast.
Wednesday night, X Factor viewers got an extra treat when judge Britney Spears debuted her new music video collaboration with will.i.am called "Scream and Shout."
Actually, it was more like another tease than a full premiere, as producers only showed a small portion of the highly anticipated video.
As the clip aired, Spears watched on anxiously and, when it was all finished, gave an embarrassed smile.
"He's like a big kid to work with," Spears said of the Black Eyed Peas singer after the video. "We had a lot of fun."
This isn't the first time the pop powerhouse duo has joined forces, either. They collaborated for Spears' song "Big Fat Bass" on her 2011 album Femme Fatale, and will.i.am even helped Spears select her top four X Factor contestants as a guest mentor during the judges' homes portion of the competition.
The singers took to Twitter after the show to post about the video. Spears posted, "Thank u @iamwill for being such an inspiration & dream to work with. Tonight is a big moment 4 us & the AMAZING fans:)"
Will.i.am had fun with the song's title tweeting, "Wow!!! I feel so excited and full of energy right now!!! I want to #screamANDshout...thank you all."
Following the broadcast, "Scream and Shout" jumped to No. 1 on the iTunes chart.
The song will be released on will.i.am's upcoming fourth studio album #willpower, due out in 2013. The album features collaborations with Jennifer Lopez and Justin Bieber, as well.
