The 26-year-old Canadian singer, who wrote or co-wrote songs on the album, collaborated with songwriters and producers Max Martin, Dallas Austin, LMFAO’s Redfoo, Toby Gad, Marianas Trench singer Josh Ramsay and Matthew Koma.
“These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years,” Jepsen said of Kiss in a statement.
Jepsen, whose hit “Call Me Maybe” has sold more than 7.3 million singles worldwide and has spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Jepsen recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter at the Teen Choice Awards, revealing that her album would be a bit “dancier” than she ever expected.

“It surprised me, actually. ‘Call Me Maybe’ is definitely a fair representation of the general sound, but we went a little dancier than I ever intended to go – and I had a lot of fun doing it,” she said.
This fall, the pop singer will hit the road with Justin Bieber on his 2012 headlining tour of North America. Jepsen will also make a cameo appearance on the season premiere of 90210, performing a song off her new album. The episode airs Monday, Oct. 8.
