Justin Bieber Protégé Carly Rae Jepsen to Perform Free Los Angeles Show
The "Call Me Maybe" singer takes the stage on Saturday, April 14 at Universal Citywalk.
Carly Rae Jepsen is bringing her infectious single, “Call Me Maybe,” to Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles. The Canadian singer-songwriter will hit the stage for a free performance at the location’s 5 Towers venue, where the facility regularly hosts concerts.
After her single caught the ear of pop phenomenon Justin Bieber, Jepsen was promptly signed to his Schoolboy Records (via Interscope). The bubblegum track has sold more than 700,000 singles in the U.S., and it's currently climbing the iTunes and Billboard charts.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, April 14 at 9 p.m. The first 400 customers to purchase Jepsen’s single will receive a wristband for a CD signing after the performance.
“Call Me Maybe” gained national attention after Bieber enlisted girlfriend Selena Gomez and pal Ashley Tisdale to film a homemade viral video, in which they are seen lip-synching and dancing the song. To date, the clip has earned more than 28 million views on YouTube.
Jepsen recently debuted her EP, Curiosity, after placing third in the fifth season of Canadian Idol back in 2007. "It's all about love and chaos and those fun messes," Jepson wrote of the record on her personal website.
Live entertainment kicks off at 8 p.m. -- will Bieber make a surprise appearance? Brave the inevitable mob scene to find out.
