Ellie Goulding and Zedd have been confirmed to be contributing material to the soundtrack to Divergent, the highly-anticipated upcoming film adaptation of Veronica Roth's best-selling dystopian novel.
Divergent: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, due out Mar. 11, will feature a new Goulding song titled "Beating Heart" as well as "Find You" by Zedd feat. Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant. In addition, Goulding contributed vocals to the Divergent film score. More artists on the Divergent soundtrack will be announced soon.
"We started working on the film with songs from Ellie Goulding's album Halcyon and soon found that the texture of her music and the tone of her voice matched perfectly with our film," said Divergent director Neil Burger in a press release. Divergent, starring Shailene Woodley and Kate Winslet, is a futuristic young adult novel in the vein of The Hunger Games, and is set for a Mar. 21 theatrical release.
Goulding is currently enjoying a Top 20 hit with "Burn," which rises one spot to No. 14 on this week's Hot 100 chart. "Stay The Night," Zedd's collaboration with Paramore's Hayley Williams, currently resides at No. 22 on the tally.
