As if further proof were needed that this isn't your dad's Ghostbusters reboot, Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott have stepped up to give Ray Parker Jr.'s shiny, happy 1984 theme song a radical, rocking remake.

In place of Parker's bright horns and teasing take on the "I ain't afraid of no ghosts" hook, FOB turn the song into a truly scary event with ominous beats, squealing guitars and singer Patrick Stump's straining, urgent vocals.

"I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid," Stump wails over the hectic arrangement, which also includes a classic motormouth verse from Elliott. "Can't sleep and I'm home alone/ Nighttime, my lights on/ Whooo! got me scared/ Whooo! hidin' underneath my bed/ In my closet, down the hall I see shadows all over my wall," Elliott rhymes.

Ghostbusters, starring Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth, opens on July 15. The soundtrack to the reimagining is slated to feature songs by Jeremih & G-Eazy, Elle King, 5 Seconds of Summer, Pentatonix, Walk the Moon and Wolf Alice.
