Justin Timberlake's 'Suit & Tie' Video Released, Reveals Album Date (Video)
The official lyric video for Timberlake's first single in six years sneakily unveils the release date for "The 20/20 Experience."
The official lyric video for "Suit & Tie," Justin Timberlake's first single in six years, hit the web Thursday. But that wasn't the only news: The street date for the singer's upcoming album, The 20/20 Experience, was revealed sneakily near the end of the video.
It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, with the date flashing around the 5:19 mark with a smiling Timberlake behind a glass pane with a hand-written "The 20/20 Experience, coming soon!" is seen. Then a second later, the "coming soon!" is switched to reveal "March 19" before going back. (See screenshot above.)
Timberlake has been slowly revealing bits and pieces of info about his new album, his first since the quintuple-platinum FutureSex/LoveSounds in 2006, with numerous teases leading up to the Jan. 14 release of "Suit & Tie." The song scored a record-breaking debut, arriving at No. 14 on the Billboard's Pop Songs chart. It received the highest first-week plays total in the chart's 20-year history and is the highest debut for a song by a male artist.
