Kanye West Fights Foes with Croissants in New, Unauthorized Video Game
The PC-only "Kanye Quest 3030" is described as "hip-hop-themed science-fiction" and also features avatars of Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and Tupac Shakur, among others.
It's about time the biggest personality in music got his own video game. That's right, Kanye West is the star of a new Japanese role-playing game (RPG) titled Kanye Quest 3030. In it, the hip-hop hero adventures alongside clones of Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Lil B, Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., MF Doom and the RZA, winding his way through the dystopian year 3030 battling foes with croissants.
The unauthorized game-maker Phenix describes it as "a hip-hop-themed science-fiction 2D roleplaying game starring Kanye West." For anyone familiar with the Pokeman game series, the play is similar where you roam around the virtual world gaining experience levels and powering up by battling other emcees that pop out of nowhere. It also recalls the classic Emo Game somewhat, if only in basic concept.
As the Daily Swarm reports, the game has some solid details such as 808 noises for the menus and RPG-esque versions of the Yeezus star's songs. Spoiler alert: The boss at the end, called the "god-like dictator" is Lil B the BasedGod.
Unfortunately, Kanye Quest 3030 only runs on Windows, so if you have a Mac, you'll have to employ some computer trickery to make the game work. Additional details can be found at the download site and the game's Tumblr page.
