Although it’s been only two days since the much-anticipated release of Kanye West’s latest album, Yeezus, fans have long been wondering about a potential tour by the rapper.

Typically, a new record is often accompanied by a national -- or, in West's case,  international -- trek, but West didn't hit the road in support of his 2010 release, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Instead, he decided to wait a year to tour with Jay-Z to promote their 2011 record, Watch the Throne.

But in an "Ask Me Anything" interview on Reddit earlier this week, longtime producer Mike Dean confirmed that West would indeed tour for his new album. When asked by a fan about hitting the road with the rapper, Dean simply answered "yes."

Yeezus is expected to sell more than 500,000 copies its first week out, according to Billboard estimates, but it's not without controversy. West is currently under fire for lyrics deemed insensitive and "distasteful" to those suffering from the debilitating disease of Parkinson's. Songs like "New Slaves," "Black Skinhead" and "I Am a God" have also raised plenty of eyebrows, as have recent quotes by West in the press -- telling the New York Times, for example, that he's the Michael Jordan of music.

And with such grandiose statements come colossal expectations for his stage show, which will no doubt feature a Yeezus-centric visual component.

No word yet on when West might take his show on an extended run. The rapper recently performed at the Governor's Ball concert in New York City on June 9.
