The Killers Honor Late Singer Andy Williams With Rendition of 'Moon River' (Video)
The rock band first covered Williams' famous song at London's Hard Rock Calling Festival in 2011.
The Killers paid tribute to late singer Andy Williams at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday. During their show, the band took a moment to play their own rendition of the crooner's famous “Moon River," a song they've previously played live.
“Moon River” became Williams' signature song after a performance at the 1962 Academy Awards where the Henry Mancini-Johnny Mercer composition won Best Song. The song is performed by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Some of his most famous songs include "Where Do I Begin?" from the 1970 film Love Story and "Days of Wine and Roses," which won the Academy Award for Best Song in 1963. Williams died on Tuesday from bladder cancer.
The Killers' new album, Battle Born, was released on September 17. The album, which is the band¹s first since 2008’s Day & Age, debuted at No. 3 on the Bilboard 200.
