The Killers Release New Single 'Runaways' (Audio)
The song is the first single off "Battle Born," which will be released on September 18.
Ever since The Killers released their third album Day & Age in 2008, fans have been chomping at the bit for new music.
With a constantly evolving sound and a powerful lightening bolt on the front, The Killers’ new album Battle Born is causing quite a stir amongst fans. Although its release date is September 18, the band has debuted their first single from the album: “Runaways.”
The four-minute song starts off slow and smooth with not much more than a guitar, Brandon Flowers’ vocals and some piano chords. By the one-minute mark, the song picks up and listeners are on a steady gallop through the Nevada desert.
Battle Born is The Killers’ fourth studio album and the first after their four year hiatus. According to Billboard, the album is expected to include tracks such as “Flesh and Bone,” “Carry Me Home” and “Here With Me.”
The band will be touring to promote the album throughout the year, although dates have not yet been released.
