Celebrating the monumental feat is BAD25, a documentary directed by Spike Lee and airing on ABC Thanksgiving night, Nov. 22 (a limited theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles just wrapped). The film features footage from behind the scenes, much of it never-before-seen and shot by the King of Pop himself, and chronicles the making of the seminal album that spawned such hits as "Smooth Criminal," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man in the Mirror" and the title track.

Among the Jackson collaborators featured in the doc is songwriter and singer Siedah Garrett, who co-wrote "Man in the Mirror" with Glen Ballard and dueted with Jackson on "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" -- a sentiment she returned earlier this year with her own single, "Keep On Lovin' You" (available on iTunes and via her website.)

Indeed, Garrett has kept Jackson's flame alive in song and strengthened his legacy by spreading the word, as she did in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
