Music Supervisors for 'Girls,' 'Dexter,' 'Shameless' Pick the Best Songs of 2012
Among the repeats on lists by Gary Calamar, Nic Harcourt, Ann Kline and Manish Raval? Indie darlings Divine Fits and Father John Misty.
The end is nigh! … Of the year, that is. So The Hollywood Reporter asked four of its favorite music supervisors and radio DJs for their top tracks of 2012. Surprisingly, there are few repeats in the bunch. Indie-rock supergroup Divine Fits pops up twice, as does psychedelic folk storyteller Father John Misty, but that’s it for the doubles. Some of these songs have been heard on the contributors' shows, and others are just personal favorites. All in all, it's a pretty solid soundtrack of the year's left-of-center musical offerings.
