Nicki Minaj Brings Fans Home to Trinidad in 'Pound the Alarm' Clip (Video)
The Young Money rapper leads a colorful carnival in the Benny Boom-directed short.
Nicki Minaj heads home to Trinidad for a wild, carnival-themed party in the video for her latest club-ready single, “Pound the Alarm.”
The first lady of Young Money leaves little to the imagination in her skimpy, colorful outfits, donning bright feathers and beads as she gyrates with her ladies at an all-day-all-night rave. The whole scene is set against a picturesque background of crystal clear waters and celebratory fireworks.
“And those were REAL fireworks that scared the living daylights out of me! Lmao. I was like 'get me down!!!!!'” Minaj tweeted Tuesday following the clip’s VEVO debut.
Earlier Tuesday, Minaj was nominated for two MTV Video Music Nominations for “Beez in the Trap” (Best Hip Hop Video) and “Starships” (Best Female Video). Voting is now open on vma.mtv.com.
