Nicki Minaj Reveals Date and Cover Art for 'Re-Up' Album
The YMCMB singer/rapper is unveiling new tracks and hoping to generate new love for older songs on her "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" re-release.
Nicki Minaj has a lot on her plate.
The controversial judge of American Idol is currently putting the finishing touches on a re-release of her latest album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The new release, dubbed Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded -- THE REUP, will feature brand new tracks including "The Boys," but Minaj also wants to give extra love to older songs that failed to gain traction from her April release.

The rapper told MTV News, “we still have singles to roll out on that album…I can’t treat it like my stepchild just yet.”
Though her new songs have a fresh new feeling to them, they aren’t different enough to warrant a entire new album of their own. Minaj will put "Boys" and the rest of the new tracks on a separate disc, but they aren't “an entire new thought and new body of work.”

She adds: "I like to give a lot of music and so that's why I didn't want to do a whole new project. Because then I would feel like it would be judged as a brand new thing and then I would need to add way more songs."
Minaj took to Twitter on Oct. 11 to release the album cover art and a colorful "Boys" video teaser. THE REUP is slated for release on Nov. 19 -- the two-year anniversary of her debut Pink Friday release in 2010.
