Rihanna Announces New Album Title: 'Unapologetic'
The "Diamonds" singer also released the racy cover art for her seventh studio album, due out on Nov. 19.
Rihanna is showing no remorse on her new album.
The Barbadian recording artist announced that her seventh studio album will be titled Unapologetic, and will hit stores on Nov. 19.
On Oct. 11, the petite singer announced via Twitter, “My NEW album UNAPOLOGETIC will be released on NOVEMBER 19th WORLDWIDE.” The tweet also revealed the album’s cover of a topless, risqué Rihanna with words like “Victory,” “Chalice,” “Faith” and “Side Effects” are scrolled across her body.
After Rih Rih's initial tweet “#UNAPLOGETIC #phuckyoapologies” about the bold look and title, she tweeted several teases to send her followers searching for the title on the cover. Her message, “Find the #ABLUMTITLE in #allBLACKeverything on the #COVER” left fans confused, wondering if the title would be Unapologetic or Side Effects. She later clarified that the album would, in fact, be Unapologetic.

Her new album’s first single, “Diamonds,” was released in September. She expresses that “The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love, and the fears are a little different from what people would expect. I’m excited to surprise them sonically.” The debut song shares the same name as her 2013 world tour.
Around the time Unapologetic is released, Rihanna is set to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which airs on CBS in December.
Rihanna has been nominated with four American Music Awards, which will broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on ABC on Nov. 18.
