Taylor Swift's 'Hunger Games' Music Video Gets Premiere Date
The singer will introduce her new clip live on MTV channels across the globe.

Taylor Swift has teamed with Viacom Music Group for a worldwide multi-screen debut of her “Safe & Sound” music video, to be featured on The Hunger Games soundtrack.

The video will premiere on Monday, Feb. 13 at 7:54 p.m. ET on MTV channels across the globe, including the U.S., Canada, Europe, Latin America, Australia, Asia and Africa. Swift herself will appear live to introduce the video during an MTV News special titled MTV First: Taylor Swift. The event will simultaneously stream in over 150 territories at TaylorSwift.MTV.com.
“Safe & Sound,” featuring The Civil Wars, is the first single from Lionsgate and Universal Republic’s The Hunger Games soundtrack. The album will hit shelves ahead of the film's release on March 20.

Swift tweeted out the first link to her song back in December. “Something I've been VERY excited about for a VERY long time is going to be happening VERY soon (and I'm not referring to Christmas),” she wrote, later adding: “And this is it, the big surprise... Go get it!”
Twelve-time Grammy and Academy Award-winner T Bone Burnett produced the melancholy ballad.
The music video’s premiere is expected to reach more than 600 million households globally, with additional debuts to follow on CMT and Vh1.
