'The Voice' Contestant Chris Mann Signs Record Deal
The third-runner up on NBC's reality singing competition is planning for a fall release of his major label debut.
Chris Mann may not have won the second season of The Voice, but he’s won an exclusive worldwide deal with Faircraft/Universal Republic, a new imprint headed up by A&R executive Ron Fair.
Mann is gearing up for the fall release of his major label debut.
Mann, a classically trained opera singer, was the third runner up on season 2 of The Voice. Mann’s powerful voice and talent rocketed him into the finals as the representative for Christina Aguilera’s team.

"Chris Mann's talent is undeniable. He proved to be a shining star on The Voice, and it's exciting to see this dynamic performer continue to grow,” says Universal Republic Records CEO and President Monte Lipman.
By the end of The Voice, Mann had two songs on the iTunes Top 10 Pop Singles Chart. The Voice coach Cee Lo Green said of Mann, “He is by far one of the most incomparable vocalists I have ever heard.”
During the competition, Mann spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the opportunity to showcase his music while on the show.
“That’s why this show is so awesome,” Mann told THR. “Because it lets me sort of not apologize for who I am and just sing.”
Mann previous work includes touring with Grammy Award-winner India.Arie and Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel. He's also performed at events including the Sundance Film Festival, the Academy Awards Young Hollywood Party and the American Film Institute Awards, among others.
