Victoria's Secret Model Adriana Lima: No Solid Food or Water Before the Fashion Show

Ladies, have you ever wished you could be a Victoria's Secret Model? Or just look like one?

Sure you have. We all have. But when you find out what these goddesses have to go through to prepare for the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, you may change your mind. Angel Adriana Lima recently revealed what lengths she goes to for months before the televised runway show. To wear so little that does so much for so many men, Lima, 30, started working out every day with a personal trainer back in August. In September she ramps it up to twice a day.

Are you ready for what she eats? Or rather what she doesn't eat. A nutritionist measures her muscle mass, fat ratio and levels of water retention. He tells her to drink protein shakes, vitamins and supplements to keep her strong. Lima drinks a gallon of water a day. Yes, you read that right. A gallon. For nine days pre-show she will drink only those protein shakes (with powdered egg white) which translates to NO SOLID FOOD. She will stop glugging a gallon of water a day two days before the show and drink normally.Twelve hours before the show she will stop drinking all liquids completely. What, no water boarding?

No solid foods and then no water. Talk about earning your wings. But then again, he VS models are paid handsomely. Former VS model Giselle Bundchen used to rake in $7,000 an hour and brought home $2 mill a year. There's a reason why Victoria's Secret is known as "the money job" in the modeling industry. And think of the money these women save on food.

But don't cry for Adrianna. She told the Telegraph that the Victoria's Secret show is the highlight of her life. "Becoming an Angel, once I achieved that, it was a dream come true for me. And I know that after all this is done, when I sit down with my daughter one day, we are going to look back and it's going to be very special."
