A lot of pop stars are excused from garish looks -- in this case, the American Music Awards' red carpet -- with the old "she's so young" line: "What would she know at that age about clothes?" Amid what was a bigger skinfest than usual, Taylor Swift managed to give the audience a glance at her gams and still look gamine. And her bangs and top knot only enhanced the fact.

Swift actually donned three looks throughout the evening. First, it was the aforementioned gold long-sleeved lace mini. Then she wore a white Grecian chiffon gown (our guess was J. Mendel) for her performance that tore off (what a shame!) to a red corset and black tulle petticoat. The beaded booties with her stage look made all of it a little rock 'n' roll. The girl knows how to mix it up. All of her looks were diverse, flattering and fun. That's not an easy thing to do, let alone three times in one night.
